About Shabbat Showdown

 

Shabbat Showdown began in Dallas, Texas as a quiz game to keep our children engaged and entertained at the Shabbat dinner table. They had a wonderful time answering basic questions about Judaism and learning through more challenging ones.

 

As we kept playing Shabbat Showdown week after week, dinner guests of all ages joined in. Players made up their own “buzzer” sounds to answer questions. They kept track of their own scores in a Shabbat-friendly way. Players who provided alternative answers or inspiring thoughts received extra points.

 

As time went on and the kids started coming up with their own questions, we realized we had something special, and decided to share it with the world. We hope y’all enjoy Shabbat Showdown!
